How amazing music is!

I wanted some bread from our bakers in the village, to go with the soup I’d made for lunch. So I jumped in the car, switched the CD player on and the last part of ‘End of the Line’ by the Travelling Wilburys was playing.  When it finished I pressed replay and drove along singing at the top of my voice, feeling very happy.  It made me appreciate – once again – how amazing music is and how it has the ability to affect our mood.  Research has shown that playing Mozart to plants helps them grow stronger and healthier.

I love Mozart and often listen to it while I’m in the kitchen.  I can go several months without listening and then suddenly ‘remember’ it again and wonder why I got out of the habit of doing something that feels so good?  Baroque music is also supposed to be very good for us humans – something to do with the particular frequency I believe.  We resonate with good vibrations – as the Beach Boys know. Music really can improve our mood and our health.
